That was my trip to iceland in 2009. Use alot of Loctite, especially around the brake anchor plate and the brake in general if you plan to go to iceland as well. The screws of the anchor plate came loose and i lost a brake line and a brake cylinder

Also it ripped off a shock adsorber in the middle of nowhere

The original shock adsorber might be a bit short in combination with 9.00 R 16 tyres. The reason for the ripped off adsorber was that i tried to avoid a washboard road and didn´t spotted a rock. Went over with 50. The surprisingly the tyre was ok afterwards.

Hello Ingo..

And sorry fr disturbing you in the middle of your supper out i the middle of nowwhere (Iceland)

I remember blabbering to my travelmate about this fantastik c303 that i wanted to buy, and thougt is was funny that i haddent seen enyone here on Iceland. But suddenly out i the horizon the butiful shape of the c303 startet to emmerge :)   I offcourse reved the XRV up to get closer faster... and i had to stop to hear about this german tgb11 and his owner:

Here is a pic of your TBG to prove it ;)

by the way you were not the only one to hit a rock... size comparrison I got lucky, since i just could ride on ( the rear bearing died thougt.... no seal and lots of water and mud...)

I drove 4 hours to the next garage and they welded it. The Volvo will stay as it is. I got a bigger toy now and got plans for the "Umbau" ; )
